Through the lens of sports science we will discover the aspects of your physical wellbeing that contribute to your daily and long term success as a construction professional. The best part? You have the ability to make decisions on a daily basis that will make a big impact on your body’s physical wellbeing. You’ll learn how to treat your body like the pro athlete that you are, from nutrition to hydration to avoiding common injuries and getting good sleep.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify the aspects of physical wellbeing that impact your work.
  • Define the three types of macronutrients and identify the nutrients that our bodies require.
  • Describe pre-shift warmup, core exercises, and personal recovery techniques.
  • Identify the physical renewal practices that can alleviate general aches and soreness.
