Description:

Join Valerie Jackson, Senior Director of Global Inclusion and Diversity at Procore Technologies, Inc., in Part 2 of this three part course series on Building Inclusion. In this course you’ll learn about how to cultivate and support an inclusive team. You’ll learn to identify practical, implementable skills including: inclusive communication, inclusive language, leading inclusive meetings, and being a champion for inclusion. At the end of this course, you’ll have a solid grasp on the daily actions and behavioral shifts necessary to develop your team into a respectful, open, and inclusive dream team!

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand the concept behind inclusive communication and describe the three main aspects: active listening, maintaining an open mindset, and information sharing.
  • List examples of inclusive language and explain the impact your words can have on your workforce.
  • Identify the steps involved to create an inclusive meeting, from preparing and setting the agenda to introducing attendees and getting everyone involved.
  • Describe how you can champion the inclusion efforts at your company.
